Geometry score, not attractiveness

The score computed by Ratio is a geometric measurement derived from facial symmetry, proportions, and structural ratios. It is not an attractiveness rating, a beauty score, or any kind of judgment of personal worth.

The same geometric proportions can appear in many different faces. A score reflects how closely measured ratios align with mathematical ideals — nothing more.

Not a medical or clinical tool

Ratio is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. The app's scores and improvement suggestions are for informational and motivational purposes only.

Do not make health, cosmetic, or surgical decisions based solely on app output. Always consult a qualified professional.

Score variability

Results depend on camera quality, lighting conditions, head angle, and facial expression. The same person can receive different scores across sessions. Treat the score as one data point, not a definitive measurement.

Population variation

The geometric "ideal" proportions used by the score are drawn from population averages, and facial proportions vary naturally across sexes and ancestries. You can set your sex in the app so the score uses sex-appropriate proportions. No single set of proportions represents beauty, and the score is not a comparison against any one group.

Improvement tips

Suggestions in the app relate to styling, grooming, posture, and photo technique. They are practical, non-invasive recommendations only. They do not constitute medical advice and should never be interpreted as recommendations for surgery or any medical procedure.

Supplements and dietary suggestions

The improvement plan may reference supplements (such as collagen peptides, omega-3, vitamin C, niacinamide, or retinol) and dietary changes based on published research. These suggestions are informational only and do not constitute medical or nutritional advice.

Always consult a qualified doctor, dermatologist, or registered dietitian before starting any supplement, topical treatment, or significant dietary change — particularly if you have existing health conditions, allergies, or take prescription medication. Supplement interactions and individual responses vary.

On-device processing

All analysis runs locally on your device. No images or facial data are ever transmitted to external servers — your face never leaves your device. Scan history stores only numeric scores and dates, and can be deleted at any time from Settings.
